GWS has unveiled Richmond assistant Adam Kingsley as its new man in charge. His resume is impressive.
A new chapter begins for the Giants, announcing Adam Kingsley as new head coach on a three-year deal.
He won a tight race for the top job, which involved a handful of highly-credentialed candidates, concluding a process that begun when Leon Cameron stepped down earlier in the year.

Welcome to the GIANTS Adam Kingsley ????
Multiple media outlets reported that the 47-year-old edged out Melbourne assistant Adem Yze, who was considered the frontrunner for the position.
Kingsley brings 16 years of coaching experience, including most recently as an assistant with Richmond. He was a key part of the Tigers’ premiership campaigns in 2019 and 2020. The new coach has also had stints at St Kilda and Port Adelaide, also carrying out assistant duties.
Aside from an accomplished career in coaching, he previously had an impressive run in the league as a footballer, drafted to Port Adelaide in 1997. He’s a best and fairest winner, chalking up 170 games at the Power and was a part of the club’s 2004 premiership side. An ACL prompted Kingsley to call time on his career two years later, ending his playing days in 2006.
Is it fair that to say Adam Kingsley has been training for the GWS role all his life. What a beast!! This shot could be more iconic than yours Bucks! @ncb_cfc pic.twitter.com/aBicbddPY9

Kingsley has become a go-to name when it comes to senior coach races over the past few years. He has previously been linked to Collingwood, Carlton, Gold Coast and Adelaide. His name was also in the discussion for Essendon’s head coaching vacancy.
The announcement of the Giants’ new coach could not have come at a better time, with the club set for an abnormally busy off-season.
