NBA 2K covers are reserved for the best of the best — and they don’t get much better than Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, who has been announced the latest to grace the cover of the iconic game.
The fans called for it, and NBA 2K listened, with the basketball gaming series announcing that Bryant would be the cover athlete on two editions of the video game; an extremely rare feat, but well deserved for one of the greatest players of all time.
In recent years, NBA 2K covers have followed a theme, with editions such as the ‘legends edition’ being based off all-time stars Michael Jordan for 2K23 and now Bryant for 2K24.
Being on the face of NBA 2K covers is something that no athlete strives for from the beginning of their respective careers, but is a welcomed bonus and a serious badge of honour.
Now with over 25 years of NBA 2K covers, the immensely popular video game has had some of the great of modern basketball on the front such as LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Once September rolls around every year, fans of the video game flock to stores to purchase the latest edition and it’ll be no different come September 8 this year.
