The Women in Sport awards nominations have landed. The Dolphins lead the charge and the moment of the year features some otherworldly options.
Over the past year, Australia’s sporting stars have had us on the edge of our seats and jumping out of them.
Looking to recognise all the success, the Women’s Health Women in Sport awards have returned again this year. The initiative aims to recognise those moments from the Australian women who continue to make their mark.

It’s the 10th edition and there’s no question that the Australian swimming team leads the charge.
Across the seven categories voted on by fans, Emma McKeon, Mollie O’Callaghan and Ariane Titmus all received nominations following their recent performances in the pool. And gold medalist Cate Campbell also received a nomination for her leadership work.
In the same week the FIBA Women’s Basketball Cup kicks off this week, Australian Opals star Ezi Magbegor also received a nomination as one of the young guns to watch.
Meanwhile, Sam Kerr continued her trend of picking up accolades; the Matildas captain is a finalist for the Athlete of the Year award. So too is former world number one Ash Barty.
Women’s Health has released the finalists for the seven fan-voted categories as shown below. At present time, voting for the seven categories will close on October 14th. A total of ten awards will be announced at the ceremony in Sydney, held on the 16th of October. It will be televised live at 7:30pm on Fox Sports and Kayo.
