There’s new technology that could help encourage more fans to get off the couch and go to the games.
Sport has needed this.
New product SEN Stadium has been launched at the SCG for the New Years Test; technology that allows in-venue fans to stream radio broadcast in real time, without lag.
You can get the likes of Gerard Whateley directly into your ears off via your smart phone, while being there.
Not many of us still have transistor radios. And for those that do it’s just one more item that may well be forgotten to be packed to the game. So, thankfully there’s now a way to stream real-time commentary off your phone.
SEN Stadium is found inside the SEN app, users just need to download it to their device and click SEN Stadium once they’ve connected to the in-venue Wi-Fi. It’s already been launched at the MCG, Marvel Stadium and Optus Stadium at various stages the last couple of years; covering AFL and cricket.
The broadcasting company plans to initiate the technology at more venues, soon offering it to rugby league fans at selected NRL venues too.

SEN’s partnered with D2N Technology Solutions to develop it.
“I have no doubt we will continue to see this expand across the country with more stadiums very soon,” said SEN Digital Director Simon Chapman.
