With the tour of Sri Lanka fast approaching, numerous Australian cricket stars are chasing glory in the IPL as they look to find some form.
As the IPL season starts to take shape, let’s take stock and see how the Australian cricketers are performing.
After David Warner was dumped as Sunrise Hyderabad captain last season and not retained, he got the ultimate revenge on his former team.
Having joined the Delhi Capitals this season, Warner smashed an unbeaten 92 off 58 balls, including 12 fours and three sixes, as the Capitals defeated Hyderabad by 21 runs.
Following the win, the Capitals are fifth on the IPL table, one win from the play-off spots.
Warner has been in outstanding form this season and scored three consecutive half-centuries earlier in the tournament.

Hazlewood was superb as he took 1-19 including 10 dot balls, while Maxwell took 2-22 from his four overs.
Hazlewood is enjoying a good season with the Royal Challengers Bangalore and has been a constant wicket taker for his side who currently sit fourth on the IPL ladder.
Aussie white-ball skipper Aaron Finch has had a mixed campaign for the Kolkata Knight Riders with scores of 7, 58, 3 and 4 this season.
Test captain Pat Cummins was the hero recently for the Knight Riders when he scored an amazing 56 not out off 15 balls against the Mumbai Indians – equalling the all-time record for the fastest fifty in the IPL.
With the ball, Cummins has struggled in his four matches and has taken 4-190 at an economy rate of 12-an-over.
All-rounder Mitch Marsh scored 37, including three fours and three sixes, off just 20 balls for the Delhi Capitals in their 6-run loss to the Lucknow Super Giants.
It was a welcome return to form for Marsh who only recently returned to the team after contracting COVID-19.
Aussie trio Tim David, Riley Meredith and Daniel Sams were all instrumental in helping the Mumbai Indians to their first win of the season, ending an eight match losing streak.
David scored a quick-fire 20 off just nine balls, while Sams hit a six in the final over to score the winning runs.
With the ball, Sams took 1-32 and Meredith captured 2-24 off his four overs.
