“Chicken breast, ham, a bit of onions, cheese and onion crisps sprinkled over the top, ketchup, three cookies and a Pepsi Max,” Souttar told team mates Martin Boyle and Jason Cummings, to their dismay.

Souttar’s late slide tackle become an instant phenomenon as Australia held on for a 1-0 win over Tunisia to keep their World Cup dreams alive.

His performance has caught the eye of scouts and there’s now growing speculation his efforts could land him in the Premier League frame.

But if Souttar does make that leap to a higher tier, just wait for the nutritionists to intervene.
