Its lights out and away we go… onto the highway? Drivers in Prague had every right to be shocked as a Formula 1 vehicle overtook them on the highway.
Drivers on the D4 Motorway in Prague, Czech Republic, were left stunned as they drove alongside what looked to be an early 2000’s model of the world-championship winning Ferrari car decked out with the official sponsor and number seven – Michael Schumacher’s racing number.
Just a GP2 car in Ferrari colours cruising up a highway in the Czech Republic. ???? Police have not been able to identify the illegal joyrider and are looking for him for questioning. #F1

The driver can be seen in the video going relatively safely with the other cars on the road and the person can also be seen with what looks like a replica F1 helmet.
This is not the first time this car has been seen in this region of the country, with police noting that they were on the lookout for the driver in 2019 but was not caught until a later date.
Imagine just casually seeing an F1 car appear on the highway ????

The car, which is illegal to drive in the Czech Republic, sounds and looks exactly the same as the Ferrari F1 car and would give the driver a $10,000 CZK ($592 AUD) fine, along with a one-year driving licence suspension.
When the car first surfaced in September 2019, the police eventually tracked down the person they believed to be the owner and driver of the car, but the suspect avoided charges by denying all claims via a lack of evidence.
The police are once again on the hunt for the owner of the car, who will now likely have their car seized along with the aforementioned penalties.
you would think they would go for hard tires (because longer stint)…. but ferrari strategy always amazes me

Fans of Formula 1 jokingly suggested that it could be former Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen who raced under the number seven once Schumacher retired, whilst also predicting that the car would eventually break down due to Ferrari’s engine problems that have plagued their 2022 F1 season thus far.
Don’t wanna be a grass but this is definitely Kimi Raikkonen https://t.co/M6nD9ggUOM

It’s fair to say that we haven’t heard the end of this story as police will likely catch the culprit and hand down a massive punishment.
