West Ham captain Declan Rice is in high demand as we head into the summer football transfer window.
At just 24 years old, Rice has made a name for himself as a vital part of the West Ham team, playing every single minute of the team’s Premier League season (with one game to go).
So with that level of consistency, the only question that remains is where will he end up?
Declan Rice to Arsenal?
Rice is reportedly keen to stay in London when he leaves West Ham, with Arsenal emerging as the favourite right now.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are looking to sign two midfielders in the summer — with Rice being a key target for the club. Arsenal are expected to submit an offer in June.
Arsenal are now preparing and thinking of the first bid for Declan Rice. It is not submitted yet but they are preparing that bid internally, it means that they are waiting to understand how much West Ham want in order to submit the first proposal,” Romano said in a recent YouTube video.
Declan Rice to Chelsea?
Chelsea are also reportedly interested in Rice, especially because he actually started his youth career there; developing as a player between the ages of 7 and 14 before heading to West Ham.
The cross-town club have always kept a close eye on Rice, but it is looking increasingly unlikely that they will sign him after spending so much last transfer window on the likes of Enzo Fernandez.
Declan Rice to Bayern Munich?
Bayern Munich are also reportedly keen on Rice, with manager Thomas Tuchel saying he “can totally imagine” working with Rice.
However, he may be priced too high for Bayern, who also need to sign a striker in the summer.
Declan Rice to Manchester United?
United are reportedly interested in Rice as well, but it remains unclear if they will launch a bid for him given the top priority for the club right now is Tottenham’s Harry Kane.
In order to compete for Rice, Manchester United would need to sell other players, which isn’t completely off the table but is less likely than trying to secure a cheaper player like Mason Mount or Mateo Kovacic.
Declan Rice to stay at West Ham?
And, of course, there is the option for the West Ham to extend Rice’s contract. However, this seems unlikely with Football Insider reporting that Rice has no intention to stay at West Ham.
According to reports, the midfielder has already rejected multiple contract offers from West Ham, reportedly including a massive eight-year deal worth £83million that would’ve made him the highest-paid player in West Ham’s history.
Basically, it looks like Rice is chasing trophies — and a shot at playing Champions League, which he just won’t get with West Ham.
