If that’s not a timely Grand Final boost, what is?

Swans sensation Lance Franklin has put months of speculation to bed, just days out from one of the biggest games he’ll ever play in.

There was growing concern Buddy would test his market and potentially head north to Brisbane for the rest of his AFL twilight. But two words were all it took to finalise that narrative.

The 340-game veteran would be forgiven for showing signs of nearing the cliff, but he’s compiled another 50+ goal season, his second on the fly… after a couple of injury-riddled seasons prior to last season. He’s up to 52 majors across 2022 so far, coming off a 51-goal campaign last season.

Sydney is in a great place up forward, as young stud Logan McDonald continues his development into a forward half alpha and veteran Sam Reid has wound back the clock.
