It’s not everyday that the two biggest names in the sneaker streetwear game collab, but in 2023 Nike and Jordan have something very special for their fans.
Expected to be released in March, the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 SP sneaker will be available for the sneaker community to snatch up with skating and basketball enthusiasts alike hyped to say the least.
Rumours of the collaboration started almost 12 months ago following images of a ‘Pine Green’ colourway being worn by veteran American skateboarder Eric Koston.
As is the go with a lot of rumoured sneakers, many thought they may have just been a prototype and wouldn’t be released to the public so soon.
When will the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 SP be released?
It was recently confirmed by reputable sources, including popular sneaker news account ‘zSneakerHeadz‘ who has nearly one million followers on Instagram, that the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 SP ‘Pine Green’ shoe would be released on March 20th.
How much will the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 SP cost?
Currently it is being reported that the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 SP will be released at a retail price of $225 USD (approximately $320 AUD), which is a slight increase from the two brands’ previous collab.
The pair will be available for purchase from Nike SB and Jordan Brand’s online sites and most likely from Footlocker and other reputable shoe stores.

When did Nike and Jordan last release a collaboration shoe?
What makes the release of this shoe even more anticipated is that it’s the first time since 2019 that the two side-brands of Nike have come together.
In their previous collaborations, the two worked on alternative designs to arguably the most recognised sneaker silhouette, the Air Jordan 1, creating several different looks.
But when it comes to the popularity of Jordan sneakers, the fourth edition of Michael Jordan’s signature shoe line is right up there with the original; pointing towards this shoe being a hot commodity.

What are sneaker-heads saying about this drop?
Host of the YouTube show ‘Full Court Fits’, Big Wos, said whilst previewing the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 SP that the show will make the top ten list of sneakers to be released in 2023.
“I can say this right now in January of 2023, this sneaker is going to make damn near everybody’s top ten list at the end of the year,” said Big Wos on his show published by The Ringer.
“It’s going to be an incredibly coveted release.”
“I promise you the skater community is going to embrace this shoe, obviously people who are obsessed with the Mike’s (Michael Jordan’s signature shoes) and people like me who love the fours specifically are going to be all over this.”
What other sneaker releases are we expecting in 2023?
Nike and Jordan may not be collaborating on any other sneakers outside of the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 SP but individually they have some highly anticipated shoe coming this year.
For Nike, the release of Ja Morant’s first signature shoe is expected to be a hot commodity when it’s released, reported to be in April.
And for Jordan it is definitely another collaboration with rapper Travis Scott in the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 OG Low ‘Olive’.
