It’s the kind of news that will pique the interest of runners around the world.

Nike launches ‘innovative’ Pegasus 41
The Pegasus is considered the ‘workhorse’ in the running community and the latest release in that range is said to push new boundaries in innovation.
The Nike Pegasus has been a staple of the running community for over four decades; the 41 is the latest offering. The Pegasus was initially introduced at the 1982 New York Marathon, which included the then-innovative ‘Air Wedge’ feature.
The model has certainly come in leaps and bounds since then, of course.
Innovation
Known as a reliable and consistent performing shoe, the 41 is the offspring of Nike’s latest foam technology, a new ReactX responsive cushioning that will have tongues wagging in the running community.
The ReactX foam is said to possess an ‘improved underfoot sensation’, according to Nike’s release. Zoom Air continues to be an iconic element to the brand’s shoe innovation.
The running shoe also comes with a new engineered mesh upper for ‘breathability and structure’, while the midfoot system aims to maximise comfort and containment.
Look
Let’s be honest, most of us care about what we’ll look like in a pair of new wheels. Nike knows this. And it appears the brand has delivered in that department as well.
Along with a slick white design, featuring a sharp orange element, the release also includes an eye-catching neon Volt green alternative.
More on the cushioning
“Nike designers were focused on ways to help relieve some stress on the body through the ReactX foam. The full-length ReactX foam midsole helps absorb the force as athletes strike the surface,” the brand said in the release.
“When paired with Nike ReactX foam in the midsole, (it) provides a soft, cushioned, responsive, but stable ride.”
