‘Renewed’: The one word every Welcome to Wrexham fan was waiting for

Welcome to Wrexham season 3

Wrexham AFC has done its best Jordan Belfort impersonation, “I’m not leaving!”

Translation: Welcome to Wrexham is back for a third season.

Cue the cheers.

So here’s everything we know about season 3.

Welcome to Wrexham S3 details

Wrexham AFC’s successful docco and heart-warming story has continued to enjoy near-unrivalled success, so it made absolute sense that the club would commit to another season of docu-series fun.

Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) and Rob McElhenney (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) completed their takeover of the northern Welsh outfit in February 2021… and what a wild ride it’s been since then.

Wrexham AFC, the oldest football club in Wales and third-oldest side in the world, has continued to capture the hearts of adoring fans across the globe.

And there’s no question the story of this football club has been a perfect storm, given its high profile ownership group.

And while the club’s value is tethered to its owners and the guaranteed exposure that comes with that, it appears to still be wheels up for McElhenney and Reynolds in Wrexham.

The extensive screenplay experience of their owners has helped to create an incredible docu-series product; they’re executive producers on the project, along with others.

Boardwalk Pictures, More Better Productions, Maximum Effort Productions and 3 Arts Entertainment co-produce the series.

How to watch Welcome to Wrexham

Disney Plus is the destination for all the action, whether season one or two — both of which are, of course, already available.

Disney will be the destination for the third season in Australia as well.

Is there a trailer for season 3 yet?

We only have an announcement that a third season is in the pipeline at this stage.

That means no trailer, yet.

And while you’re waiting for this release, there’s so much other football docco content out there to sink your teeth into.
