The wait is finally over Ted Lasso fans, because we’ve finally been given our first look at the highly-anticipated third season of the beloved Apple TV show.
When will Ted Lasso season 3 be released?
It feels like a lifetime ago since the second season of Ted Lasso left our screens back in October 2021, but fans wont have to wait much longer for season 3.
Ted Lasso season 3 premieres exclusively on Apple TV+ on March 13.
Is there a trailer for Ted Lasso season 3?
The first-look trailer for Ted Lasso season 3 has just dropped and it is already tugging at everyone’s heart strings.
Where did season 2 leave us?
SPOILER ALERT!
For those of you who may have forgotten, last season left us with Nate betraying Ted and AFC Richmond to go coach West Ham United.
Season 3 will see the two teams battle it out for AFC Richmond’s chance at winning the Premier League, and will likely see Ted and Nate have some sort of confrontation. Whether that results in him coming back from the dark side and apologising to the coach he betrayed is up for debate.
According to a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, season 3 will see Nate and Rebecca have major character arcs — which we can only hope results in us getting the Rebecca and Ted love story we’re all rooting for.
“[Nate’s] on a trajectory, career wise…From season one as kitman, then he became a coach and now he’s the coach of West Ham,” show editor A.J Catoline said. “Jason is so very generous as a producer and creator. He gives all of the characters a storyline. I think that’s why [the episodes] are so full…There so many storylines; he wants every character to have an arc.”
All we know right now is that we’re entering season 3 out for Nate’s blood.
Who is in season 3 of Ted Lasso?
All of the main cast will return for season 3 including Jason Sudeikis (Ted Lasso), Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent), Phil Dunster (Jamie Tartt), Juno Temple (Keeley Jones) and Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca Welton). The rest of the team are also expected to return, as well as Nick Mohammed (Nate) and, hopefully, Dr Sharon Fieldstone — played by Sarah Niles — will also show her face again.

Is season 3 the final season of Ted Lasso?
When the show was first pitched, it was imagined as a three-season series, but obviously ended up being way more popular than the showrunners wildest dreams.
This has led to some speculation of further seasons beyond the third instalment, but we are yet to hear a definitive answer on it.
In a recent interview with the Daily Express, Jeremy Swift (Higgins) said “nobody knows” if it’s the last season.
“I know you’ll probably ask if it’s the last one. Nobody knows that!” he said, adding “literally everybody asks it, and I think the only person who can give an answer is Jason. And I don’t think even he knows.”
However, Brett Goldstein — who not only plays Roy Kent but also serves as a writer on the show — confirmed that season 3 was being written as the show’s last.
“It was planned as three,” he told the Sunday Times. “Spoiler alert: everyone dies,” he further joked, which would be one hell of a twist ending. Who could kill who? Would Ted come out unscathed?”
But in the age of endless reboots, we truly just never know when any show will actually be laid to rest. We can only hope there is at least a spin-off series to give us our Ted Lasso fix if the series wraps after season 3.
