The AFL season is drawing closer, but if you can’t bare to wait until the season kicks off on March 16, you’re in luck because Stan has released the second season of its trade period docu-series Show Me The Money.
The second iteration of the doco is produced by JAMTV, and promises to up the ante when it comes to the drama.
“The sheer volume of trades, the big names, the big deals, and last-minute chaos has given us something compelling for footy fans, sports fans, and non-sports fans alike,” JAMTV CEO Cos Cardone said in a statement.
“Not to mention, it was the year that gave us the Mega Trade. Show Me The Money is uniquely brilliant when it comes to storytelling: it is unscripted AFL drama without a football field in sight.”
Who is involved in Show Me The Money II?
Like the first season, the docuseries features players from across the AFL, as well as the agents who fight to secure them the lucrative contracts they desire.
Show Me The Money II features 34 players, as well as three of the most high-profile agencies behind them: Connors Sports Management, Corporate Sports Australia, and Hemisphere Management Group.
These management agencies represent some of the biggest names in the game, including Patrick Dangerfield, Scott Pendlebury and Christian Petracca.
Specifically, the series will deep dive into the trade period’s mega trade that involved two players, four clubs and a whopping 14 draft picks.
The series covers the 2022 off-season and offers exclusive insight into the chaos of Deadline Day at Melbourne’s iconic Marvel Stadium.
