Doubling down: A look at the Eels’ unique shot at history

Share

We preview both top-flight Grand Finals.

It’s a feat that’s only been available several years, but the Parramatta Eels have set up a unique opportunity to complete it; the double.

While they’re underdogs in both games, the Eels have qualified for the NRL and NRLW Grand Finals.

Has a Rugby League club qualified for the NRL and NRLW Grand Finals in the same year?

It’s actually the second time this has happened; the Roosters went down to Brisbane in the inaugural NRLW Grand Final in 2018, but beat Melbourne in the Men’s decider that same year.

Parramatta of course takes on Penrith in the Men’s game. Earlier on, it’s Newcastle facing off against the blue and gold.
